Cloud 9 Apartment is envisioned through the abstraction of folded paper planes flowing seamlessly across the interiors, generating a fluid spatial language that adapts to the lifestyle requirements of a family of five. Architectural surfaces bend, wrap, and extend across the volume, transforming into partitions, storage systems, transitional thresholds, and functional elements that unify the home through a continuous visual rhythm.
The design approach challenges conventional spatial boundaries by dissolving rigid separations between functional zones, allowing spaces to feel interconnected, adaptive, and expansive. Materiality is intentionally restrained, allowing texture, form, and detailing to define the atmosphere of the residence. Grey-dyed veneer panels, fluted glass inserts, and micro-topped cement ceilings establish a muted yet tactile backdrop, enhancing the sculptural quality of the interiors.
A fluid apartment interior shaped through folded architectural planes, concealed functionality, and sculptural spatial continuity.
Custom-designed furniture pieces further reinforce the folded design language. A cream-toned metal console with origami-inspired detailing complements the existing marble flooring while subtly referencing traditional crockery cabinetry through patterned veneer shutters. Wardrobes are treated as architectural planes rather than standalone objects, embedding storage and access points within folded wall compositions.
Soft furnishings remain understated and tonal, punctuated with muted mint accents that introduce subtle vibrancy into the otherwise calm palette. Sculptural pendant lighting anchors communal zones, enriching the experiential quality of the interiors while reinforcing the apartment’s layered and immersive spatial identity.
